Culmination of the fissure, possible spoilers
« on: July 29, 2009, 08:07:26 AM »
So, my theory is that these monsters are going to get progressively larger; something like Rock Snake to Rock Homunculus to maybe Rock Golem and then Rock Colossus.

Ever seen the film "Galaxy Quest"?  Remember that film's rock monster?  I'm picturing millions of pebble eventually combining to create a large monster similar to the Crimbomination.  We'll have to fight it with the charged magnet to pull it apart, pebble by pebble.  Any thoughts?

Rocks are floating - I seen some ideas about the Mysterious island sinking, and we all needing to cover it with floating sand to keep it floating. The trend of monsters increasing in size makes perfectly sense.
As for the charged magnet, nope - magnets are for metals(well, ok, Paramagnetism is accepted) only - see Yossarian. There are too many pieces of the puzzle still missing yet.
I started stocking up on moxie magnets and floaty sand :)

Anything is magnetic if the charge is strong enough.

I wonder what the link to these new events is with August's Iotm familiar? Whether it is simply an homage to the events which will come, or if there will be a similiar monster, etc.

I'm assuming it's like the temporal riftlet, where it shares the same theme as the world event but does not interact with it.

Everybody knows it already, so might as well brag about.
Get (by any means) 125 floaty sand, malus them well and get a http://kol.coldfront.net/thekolwiki/index.php/Floaty_rock.
Use a http://kol.coldfront.net/thekolwiki/index.php/Wok_lobster with the rock in the inventory.
Voila! New familiar, drops floaty sand :)
Enjoy

also new: 2 recipes for beer: http://kol.coldfront.net/thekolwiki/index.php/Pebblebr%C3%A4u and one darn expensive http://kol.coldfront.net/thekolwiki/index.php/Rocky_road_ice_cream.

Just dont do them now, prices art insane!

Floaty sand is made by the familiar, prices for that should decrease no matter what happens. It's the live lobster that is of questionable duration.

Spent the greater part of my fortune, after the Hatchling run, to make sure that I got one.
