You can get +75% items on a 1-handed weapon. Just think about that.
A few apple stickers at the start of a run will help you level up much faster.
3 UPC stickers = +75% meat, can't find that on any other weapon (or anything really).
Wrestler stickers - much easier to hit enough moxie to outmoxie the NS (or war boss or entering the gallery/bedroom faster).
Dragon stickers - perfect for protector spirits or just boosting your damage output.
Rock band - awesome damage booster.

For somebody who ascends at least a bit this is a great item.

Awesome item for ascenders indeed :)

Also for non-ascenders too, +75% meat/items? One hand? Gimme!

And it works on the disembodied hand, so it is very useful for basementing!

The sugar fairy is just like a PBS except you can time-shift the stat gains. Basically, if you don't have enough MP, it drops a sugar plum, which is a potion. When used, it gives you the stat gains you would normally get from a volleyball of the same weight as the sugar fairy (that's current weight, not weight when dropped).

What do you think of the Bandersnatch in hardcore? I'm considering this one over a Volleychaun, but all comments are welcomed.

Would the familiar equipment be worth getting? According to the wiki, you would be getting extra main stat points as soon as ML 20 (4 extra mainstat points, instead of 2:1:1)...

Provides weight/5 free runs per day and some of the enhanced combat skills have useful, potentially meat saving effects...

These ones come to mind:

+fam experience (using low-mid spells).

+mp restore (effectively halves the cost of weapon of the pastalord and saucegeyser).

Add stun to LTS. (less healing needed)

Add more turns to entangling noodles. (less healing needed)

Bandersnatch? I'm there.

Not completely sure about the fam spec equipment... +1 stat at a cost of (potentially) 30 adventures and 3000 meat to get the right one - that doesn't sit well with me.

However the critter himself looks awesome.
Entangling noodles stun increase + LTS stun = Essentially no damage in hardcore, if you play musc... or other classes like muscle ;)

I won't get to play with mine until well after the buying window's closed though, because I'm going BM to get all the shiny stuff I need to murderlize Hodgy ;)

This is a pretty sweet familiar - I got one (as a HC ascender).

Note that the tuned stats from the equipment work only with the familiar's bonus stats, not all stats from the fight. So for example fighting an astronomer with a 20 lb bandy you won't get 46/0/0 stats, just for example 25/12/10 (with a normal volley you'd get 23/13/11). Bean - the equip is squeezable into other forms so it's all okay. Still the 25% chance of a lead necklace.

Free runaways are the selling point to speedy ascenders, they're pretty sweet for normal-paced runs as well. For example they reduce the 30-turn limit for the organ of steel or for various delay() counters.

And the combat effects are just great - sauceror skillset actually gains you MP, shieldbutt becomes ever more awesome etc.

So - not much for farmers but very nice for ascenders who try to be a bit faster.

Also cue "zomg it's LaP" and "why have you abandoned us" and "pics now? >.>" You know well enough that I won't miss a chance to be a smartarse  :P

Shiny? More like ashen...BM will only bring h...*cough* woes upon you.

Also, the familiar equipment can be "squeezed" to switch its stat, so you'd only need to get one :) Darn you, Lap! You'll pay for this! *shakes fist*

I am kind of beholden to my NPZR, have been since I got the lil' confused guy. However, I have played around with the Bandy a bit and overall am quite impressed. Like it was previously mentioned, he has made some of my combat skills quite a bit more effective. Helped me out a touch on the Bonerdagon on my current run.

That is, when the jerk stopped blocking my attacks. I know I haven't contributed much, but its another viewpoint from someone who knows only the basic mechanics of the game.
