A clan looter is someone who violates their clans rules regarding the stash and takes more than they're supposed to. It can be a large amount or a small amount depending on the clans rules.
Looting is looked down upon in the Kingdom of Loathing. If you are listed as a looter you will be given a clan title of "
www.lootersofloathing.com" and will never be able to get a better rank or take items from the clan stash.
I deal very harshly with looters. I have "followed" looters from clan to clan warning their new clan leaders that they're a dirty no good rotten looter, not to trust them, and not to give them any privilages in their clan or just kick them out. Most looters end up quitting the game. Why? Because who's gonna be your friend if you're a looter? Nobody wants anything to do with you. In an internet game over half your fun is playing with other people. If you screw the people you play with it comes back to you. I've gone into chat channels looters hang out in and told people they looted a clan and not to trust them. I've done far worse to looters than anyone in the game.
Well you're still reading? You don't want to be listed as a looter and want to clear your name? This is where most looters quit. Why? Most looters are too lazy to do any work and clearing up their past mistakes will take some work. You'll have to go to
http://www.lootersofloathing.com and search for your name. Then you'll have to contact your former clan leader or the person who reported you and make some kind of arrangements to pay back whatever you looted. Once you do that you'll have to contact the people who run the looters site (don't ask me, the site lists who runs things so look yourself) explain to them you paid the clan you looted back (save copies of kmails to send) and to please remove your name. They will have to contact the clan leader to verify it and if you did things right, were polite and patient you should be able to get your name removed.
Don't start messaging me until you clear up your name. I'm not going to help you. You screwed up, now you have to fix it. I'm not doing it for you and I'm not going to help you. Well I helped you by posting this in the first place and probably sending you a link to it. It's up to you to do something about it. Once you clear your name you can contact me. I'd be very happy to know someone did the right thing.
