The badger isn't the first IotM to be obsolete, look at the ice sickle. yeah, it might be a little better than the whips that are easily crafted, but not by much.

Absolute piffle.  Dual-wielding Ice Sickles remains the best way of levelling up to levels into the mid-20s.  In addition, the Ice Pick is one of the few hats in the game that gives +items.  Yeah, the ice baby is obsolete but the ice skates are one of the better +meat items in the game and the +init on them is a nice boost for pickpocketers (or, y'know, people running two ice sickles at low levels).

In addition, for those of us who cannot, or chose not to, automate our turns, the difference between 2x100 power weapons and 2x10 power weapons is *very* significant in terms of time taken to burn turns.
I can move, move, move any mountain.

I personally have enjoyed the Cerebral Crossbow on my first HC run...especially since I can't make any better low level weapons of my own... now in a couple of runs it may start to suck... but for now... good times :)

Gotta see the exact +item gain. Maybe it really makes a huge difference. It does turn (almost) any familiar into a semi-fairy.

The M-X firework damage is kinda low, but it works for weaker classes in lower levels (i.e. before the ability to 1-hit-kill.) It's certainly an asset for combo-using DBs.

The other pre-combat firework effects... didn't see any in almost 100 advs.

The roman candle skill is a bit pricy for the damage it does (I was using it with a 30lbs Lep and I'm level 20 DB) but, again, must check what variables are at play there. Again, useful for the lower, elemental alligned quests.

Along with the stat gain ability, it will sure help out in ronin.

There's been a while since we've had a familiar equip iotm. As such, it is good. As a general iotm... no.

Yes but PPB is Un-noob-tainable. Meaning normal people like me can't have one.

I'm liking the disembodied hand... probably the best IOTM in a long while!

Triple wielded time swords? + 3 extra Adv per day.

Triple wielded ice sickle? + 45 ML before any other modifier - great for powerlevelling.

Triple wielded shilly/brimstone bludgeon? Who could frown at upto +150% muscle :P

I can see it going up in value... LOTS, and fast!

Yeah, quite interesting indeed, but I don't see myself using it :)

Still, it is one of those open-ended items that makes me think "What if they create a superfancy 1-handed weapon in the future?" :)

I'd use mine more if a certain someone would quit "borrowing" all the time swords every evening from the clan stash!  :P
